Homeward Pharmacy is a NHS distance selling pharmacy, owned and operated by D&M Gompels LTD. We work in close collaboration with Nutricia Ltd and their Nutricia Homeward Service.

What is Nutricia Homeward?

Nutricia Homeward has been supporting patients to tube feed at home for over 21 years and currently helps over 27,500 people across the UK.

The Nutricia Homeward service includes:

• Requesting and organising feed prescriptions on behalf of the patient
• Delivery of prescribed nutritional products, feeding pumps and all equipment needed to tube feed, directly to homes by dedicated, trained drivers
• Dedicated team of coordinators
• CQC registered nursing services
• NHS registered pharmacy
• 24/7 telephone support, manned by qualified nurses

Changes to the prescribing of nutritional products

The method of prescribing nutritional products has changed. 'One-off nominations' should now be used to send home enteral feed prescriptions to a specialist supplier by those practices using SystmOne (dispensing & non-dispensing) and some EMIS Web practices.
Practices no longer have to issue FP10s, Phase 4 tokens, or change the patient's usual pharmacy nomination as NHS England have included Homeward Pharmacy as a one-off nomination choice as shown below:

A dummy post code ZE1 0AA has been created for use by all three pharmacies.

A one-off nomination will not affect future prescriptions which will still be sent to the patient’s regular nominated pharmacy.
